Description

Portable Classroom/Modular Building being sold AS IS. Model year listed is best known date at time of listing.

No known condition issues.

Additional Features: 240 volt/100 amp, 60hz , 32' x 24' - 12 metric tons

Mechanical and electrical were functional when removed from service.

The asset is being sold “as is” and is not represented as being operationally sound or maintained at any guaranteed level of quality.

The asset may not be fit for use and may require substantial repairs at the buyer’s expense.

The Buyer will make arrangements and be responsible for all costs associated with hiring a licensed contractor with liability coverage to perform the loading and transportation of the structure off SCDSB property by the deadline date. No assistance will be provided. SCDSB will not be responsible for providing construction drawings.

Removal dates for this asset must be completed between July 6 - July 17, 2026.

Appointments to pick up the asset must be made within 48 hours of pick up.

Failure to remove the portable structure, including all associated components such as d‑skirting and steps, from the site by the specified deadline will result in the purchaser forfeiting all rights to the asset, ownership reverting to the Simcoe County District School Board, and the purchaser’s GovDeals account will be locked.

SCDSB will require the successful bidder to submit an insurance certificate for Commercial General Liability Insurance ($5,000,000) and Owned and Non-Owned Automobile Insurance ($2,000,000).

**Important** the Commercial General Liability Insurance shall note the Simcoe County District School Board as an additional insured.

We also require them to provide a valid copy of Workplace Safety and Insurance Board Clearance Certificate as provided by the Ontario Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB). Prior to removal, the insurance and WSIB certificates will need to be presented to SCDSB. These certificates are required prior to coming on any SCDSB site.

In the event of any inconsistencies between the posting and the attached standard terms and conditions, the wording in the posting will take precedence.

BUYER’S RESPONSIBILITY
i) Comply with the latest edition of the Occupational Health and Safety Act and all Regulations within;
ii) Responsible for disposal fees and permits including, but not limited to, demolition permits, building permits, the transportation permits required by local municipalities and other governing authorities;
iii) No refuse or demolition material will be placed in the site garbage containers. Buyer will supply own containers and will dispose in a registered MOEE waste disposal site;
iv) Buyer to leave the site in a safe and secure manner at the end of each day; and
v) Buyer will repair any and all damage to surrounding portables, sod, asphalt, fences, buildings, etc. resulting from the removal/demolition of portables.

Inspection

Most items offered for sale are used and may contain defects not immediately detectable. Inspections for this asset must be scheduled with the SCDSB. Bidders arriving without an appointment will not be granted access.
